It was an impulse purchase that turned out to be a very good buy.
It started when Lyn mentioned to me Fairytales Bridal were having a sale at the Croydon branch - we had previously gone to the Moonee Ponds branch because it's only 10min away from where I am and they stock the dresses from my favourite designer.
Anyway so Lyn told me about the sale on a Monday - I assumed the sale would run for ages so I said, 'Ok I'll go on the following Monday because I've taken the day off to be with Ant who I will pick up from his karate tournament on Sunday."
Before picking Ant up on Sunday arvo, I was browsing online and saw that the Fairytales sale was ending that same day at 4pm!! So I text Lyn and ask her if she can take me to the bridal shop because it takes practically an hour on the train. Luckily she agreed so I got dressed super quick and trammed it to her place.
We made it about 30min before they closed.
At the bridal shop, I tried on about 3 dresses. There was one for au$200 which had a lovely bodice but ugly skirt. It looked like someone had sewn it themselves - maybe me.
Then I got dressed and we walked around the shop again - it was a small shop but we still managed to walk around a few times. And then I found 2 more dresses I thought I'd try on. I wasn't very enthusiastic but it turns out the last dress looked amazing on me.
So long story short, I was very lucky that I found my dress. It was way over my price range - like Way WAY over even though it was on sale. But those who have seen the dress say it's stunning and I agree, so that makes the world ok again!

The dress still needs to be re-sized and the length adjusted. My first fitting will be on June 15th. The store took the dress from the Croydon branch to Moonee Ponds to make it easier for me :o) And they said I could come look at it any time :o)
